I wonder what it's like to actually be ahead in your NaNoWriMo novel....
My current word count is 1,339 and I need to have 5,001 before the day is over...For some reason I don't see that happening.
So, the other day, I was re-reading last years novel....I had to laugh at how truly awful it was.
The formatting was so terribly terrible, I had to quint my eyes REAL tight just to read it, there were countless misspellings, (did I just, ignore my automatic spell checker??) and there so many plot holes, I'm surprised my characters didn't disappear.
Hopefully that won't happen this year.
If I ever finish.
I hope I finish.
I think I can, I think I can.
Well, I'm off! Must continue my (non) writing adventure!
Signed,
The Little Novelist That Could

November First: Can I Quit Yet?
617 words.
Nearly 12 hours in, and I have...
617 words.
I feel like ripping my hair out, crying and screaming, or trashing my novel and giving up. (or a combination of the three)
Seriously, I at least was up to par in the beginning last year. (Although I did lose last year...)
Maybe this year will be different. Maybe I'll come from behind in the final stretch.
Like:
November 25th rolls around and..Uh oh! I only have 30k words!
And then BAM!
Five days later I'm verifying a 50k word novel (that's more than likely a piece of garbage).
But my piece of garbage.
Maybe.
Maybe.
I think I can.
I think I can.
The little novelist that could...Heh.
Do I sound crazy yet?
.....
Good.
I should.
(Hey! I'm a poet too!!)
Okay, fellow Nanoers. I am now off to write my fabulously drab novel now. (Or attempt to...?)
Anyway, see ya!
With the love of a thousand kangaroos,
Me

Forget Me Not

(My current NaNoWriMo novel cover)
I honestly don't understand how I didn't write in this blog last November...
I was planning on updating throughout November, but I didn't, so now here we are...September 19th of the FOLLOWING year, and I'm only just now updating.
I'm sorry!
So NaNoWriMo this year is gonna be a winner.
You know what they say...Third time's a charm!
(I WANT MY PROOF COPY)
...Ahem...
Synopsis for this year-
Meghan Rae is fourteen-years-old.
Meghan Rae has two German Spies for parents.
Meghan Rae tries to reveal their identity.
Meghan Rae is in a whole lot of trouble.
While trying to prove that her best friend, Mathew, is alive and not dead, Meghan must remain hidden from her parents if she wants to live.
When her parents catch on, she must go further into hiding, assuming the identity of 'Gracie Evelyn'.
Giving up hope on Mathew being found alive, she works her way through life on the streets.
Four years after going under the radar, Gracie Evelyn is taken in by an Art gallery owner, Matt Hugh, and his pregnant wife, Emily.
What happens when Meghan's past catches up with her?
Huh huh?
What do you think?
And what do you think of the cover?
(My new pen name is Ivy Kayla Pane)
Anyways, I'll update soon with NaNoWriMo and writing related stuff.
Thanks!

I Wish I Could Time-Travel
That way I could skip ahead to November 1st and just start writing already!
I can start writing in 1 day, 23 hours and 10 minutes.
It will be the longest 1 day, 23 hours and 10 minutes EVER.
I got my care package buddy partner thing. I'm sending the package out sometime
this week or next. (probably next)
I got some awesome stuff for her. Hope she likes them! :)
Just wanted to write in and give a little update of my agony.
Write you later, my fellow Blogglings,
VC

I Cannot Wait Until November 1st
And neither can the other 72,000 authors currently signed up for NaNoWriMo. :)
I'm so excited to write 'Left For Dead' (www.leftfordeadnovel.blogspot.com) that I'm sweating with anticipation.
Okay, not really. But I am super excited. This will be the best story that I'm (going to be) writing.
Making covers are going awesome. I've made about 20-25 and it's really fun!
People are liking them, so that's good, too.
I never truly understood the purpose of blogging.
All you do is type out the events of your day for people to read.
What do other people care what you did today? I mean really, come on.
Although I can't say much considering I'm here saying that in a blog post.
So I'll be off now, bloglings.
Farewell,
VC

Cover Art
I've been making cover art for other Wrimos and it's so much fun!
I love making them, and it's controlling my urge to write before November. ;)
I've been extensively planning 'Left For Dead' plot. I've also been helping Audrey plan her plot to 'I Do, But I Don't'
I really want to start writing, but I can't! It's so annoying! I should not have started planning until like, October 31st.
I guess I'll be leaving now.
With Love,
VC

Addicted? No! Okay, Maybe A little...Or A Lot :)
I am on these Nanowrimo forums all the time, now, and it's getting pretty bad.
I can only imagine how it will be come November when I'm ready to just kill off my MC.
(Although I don't think I will have to. my MMC will take care of killing my FMC unless she gets away...I haven't decided that part yet >:) Mwuahaha)
I am a fifteen-year-old Wrimo, which is definitely hard with school and such, and I don't have my own computer. :(
Well I do but it's a piece of junk that will crash if I have more than one thing running at once.
I'm at work right now (Family owned businesses make computer access possible) and I can't wait to get home and fix up my writing space! :) It's gonna be bomb.
How many Wrimos out there are grammar snobs? Like, if someone were to say 'who' instead of 'whom', who out there would correct them?
I have before, but not very often. I usually correct people if they use a double negative or are redundant. This happens quite a bit because I live in Southern Indiana. (Lived here all my life, so I have room to speak)
I am ready to sleep, though, also. I think I'll go home, take a nap and then wake up hours after I intended to and then start on my writing space.
So I will blog you fellow Wrimos later!
Sincerely,
VC
